The cool thing is you're not tied to a class. There are quite a number of summoning and necromancy spells, as well as conjuration, hex, charm, translocation, transmutation and elemental magic spells. Necromancy also has a bunch of attack spells versus living and undead creatures, though I'm not sure if they have anything against demons. It has a bunch of spells that create permanent summons from skeletons or corpses (the summons from the book of summoning only last a short while.) The higher level necromancy spell I think allow you to enslave a soul permanently to your aid. But DCSS has a bunch of unique aspects as well, particularly the Gods. If you happen to miscast Summon scorpion there's a chance that you will summon a hostile scorpion, so.ĭCSS in general feels like a Lord of the Rings pen and paper game transfered to a rogue like. You will eventually happen to run across a high level summoning book where you can summon hydras or dragons. As your summoning skill increases the spell's power level also gets better, so initially you can only summon jackals and hounds with summon canine familiar but eventually you get war dogs and wolves and maybe even wargs or something (Wolf approximate size of a horse.) I think there was something else as well. Spells for the starting summoning book is If your character survives long enough you can eventually get both skills. *Bulwark –> 15 points – what more can i say this is great for tanking. In dungeon crawl stone soup you can be a summoner or a necromancer. *Sledgebot –> 15 points – wow this robot is awesome!!! this guy hits hard (thas what she said).since in earlier lvls the cd is long and he duration is short.i summon sledgebot and gunbot on intervals.when one goes away summon the otherĪnd vice versa.up to u how u want to play it *Gunbot –> 15 points – although its not great the dps is good ually in the earlier lvls wenever i make this guy come out i tank the elite or boss so that he kinda stays still Also you can throw these anywhere lol…u dont have to target anything just keep throwing it.and the aoe is awesome.(example – owned the big slime guys on phase portal in new game plus) This is by far the most underrated skill we have!!!!!!…these scale with ur lvl.and at each lvl gives it a 5% chance increase to spawn a supermine (stuns), and this actually puts a dot on the enemy as well as shock so that ur *Spider mines –> 15 points – get this to 5 points early on.and keep it there until ur high enough to get rank 10 due to high mana cost (i think at lvl 46 you can get rank 10) *Healbot –> 15 points – this is by far the best skill the eng has over all the other characters.just keep putting points into this whenever u can!!!!
